The Path Forward for Forming an Alabama LLC
We’re strong believers in flat-fee arrangements and want clarity in our pricing, so we bill most of our legal work for set prices. We think this promotes transparency and mutual understanding with business formation and probate cases.
To get started on our new LLC entity package, we will send you an engagement agreement, intake form, and an invoice for online payment. Once everything is signed and processed, we will get started.
Our LLC Alabama Entity Formation Package Includes:
Preparing a Name Reservation with the Alabama Secretary of State;
Drafting and filing the Certificate of Formation with the Alabama Secretary of State and the applicable Probate Court where the entity is based;
Paying the State and County filing fees (approximately $250.00~, depending on the specific County where the business is registered);
Drafting the LLC Agreement; and
Applying for the entity’s FEIN registration with IRS.
The total fee for a single-member Alabama LLC includes the applicable State and County name reservation, filing fees, and attorney costs.
The only start-up expenses not included are for the initial Alabama Business Privilege Tax return and applications for any State and local permits or licenses.
We can help with these items but do not include them in the New LLC package because each new business has different needs, and some may not need these services (for instance, kitchen permits are essential for restaurants but inapplicable for design studios).
Alabama businesses need to prepare and pay an annual Business Privilege Tax (minimum fee is $100 payable to the Alabama Department of Revenue).
We’re happy to answer any questions you have, and it's usually best for us to have a free 20-minute call to talk about your new business and the path forward.
